Celebrities are embracing a revealing Gen Z fashion trend

The famous Gen Zers are taking things to a new level by embracing a very revealing new trend.

We’ve all had to accept that low-rise bottoms and tiny crop tops are back in fashion. The kind of crops that don’t just end above your belly button, but are cut off even higher.

Everyone is suddenly dressing like Paris Hilton did in 2002.

For a while, it was either a micro top or something low-rise, not both. But now, there’s a new twist as Gen Zers are boldly sporting the combination.

There are still a few Millennial heroes holding out, like Taylor Swift, who has stayed firmly in her high-waisted pants and skirts, but the up-and-coming Gen Z stars are firmly embracing the low-rise trend.

As a society, we’ve done our best to adjust. Most people have compromised and embraced giant pants that aren’t are closer to mid-rise and paired those with, maybe not extreme crop tops, but definitely smaller tops.

This makes sense; usually, celebrities create outrageous trends, and ordinary people mimic them in more toned-down ways.

Now, celebrities have kicked it up a notch and are pairing low-rise bottoms with tiny crop tops simultaneously – and it is absolute anarchy.

There are two main trailblazers of the trend: Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily Rose Depp, 24, who has made a name for herself by starring in the steamy HBO series Idol and actor Sydney Sweeney, who has been everywhere since the success of HBO series Euphoria.

Lily Rose fired the first shot by attending a fashion show for Chanel in an outfit that revealed her entire stomach. No part of her tummy was not on display.

She wore a floral skirt that hung well below her hips and a tiny black top, which she paired with black heels and a pink handbag.

High-rise fashion has been so on-trend for years now that it is rare for an outfit to display the entire midsection, but the look is back.

Young people also seem quite thrilled that the trend is here. Under a photo of Lily-Rose, someone wrote, “I love her stomach” and another said, “Those abs”, alongside three drooling face emojis.

Then Sydney came out swinging a few days later, doing press in a denim outfit that featured a tie-up crop top and low-slung jeans.

The jeans were so low-rise that her undies were hanging out over the top. The undies were situated in such a fashion that it was clear they were meant to be on display, but it was quite harrowing to know the cool fashion is now dressing like a teenage boy who likes to graffiti walls and refuses to wear pants that fit properly.

It wasn’t the mid-drift slice of skin we are used to seeing. Nope, the belly buttons are officially getting aired out.

Fans also embraced Sydney’s look; one person asked, “How can she look this good?” and another declared the outfit was a “serve”.
