Guzman y Gomez shares begin trading today on the ASX under the ticker GYG with a valuation of A$2.2 billion. Founder Steven Marks, a New Yorker who once worked for Steve Cohen’s SAC Capital and moved to Australia 22 years ago, is set to be worth more than A$200 million at the offer price. Marks, 52, is the second-biggest shareholder after investment firm TDM Growth Partners, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
