Race fans are in for a treat at this year’s OTR SuperSprint as Aussie rock band The Choirboys and award-winning alt-rock artists Kingswood join the entertainment line-up.

The high-octane concert will take place immediately after the chequered flag drops on Saturday’s Race 21, the first of three Supercars races at the event.

The Bend Motorsport Park has also announced the introduction of free bus services between Murray Bridge and The Bend for the first time, in a bid to enhance the event experience for fans staying in the region.

Furthermore, $10 return buses will be available from Adelaide to The Bend throughout the entire three-day event for racegoers coming from South Australia’s largest city.

Kingswood is fresh off the success of their album ‘home,’ which debuted at number one on the ARIA Australian country charts in February.

Meanwhile, The Choirboys’ hit song ‘Run to Paradise’ continues to garner massive popularity, boasting an impressive 62 million streams on Spotify despite being released in 1988.

The OTR SuperSprint, scheduled for August 18-20, will host Round 9 of the Repco Supercars Championship, providing South Australian fans with an exciting opportunity to witness the new GEN3 Supercars in action for the first time. The Bend will come alive with roaring engines and adrenaline-fueled racing, offering an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

““The new entertainment offering and expanded bus service to support the increase in traffic in the region is all a part of our goal to put on an event that the area is proud of and that’s easy and enjoyable for all who attend,” said Alistair MacDonald, CEO of The Bend Motorsport Park

“We’re excited to provide race fans and eventgoers with a complete event experience for the whole family and expand the offering for the 3500 people we have staying on site during the event.”

CoolDrive Racing’s Todd Hazelwood is looking forward to heading to his home state in August, when the all-new Gen3 Supercars will race for the first time in South Australia.

“Having just finished up in Darwin, there’s only 2 more stops on the calendar until we’re back in South Australia at The Bend to put on a show for all the local fans in my hometown,” Hazelwood said.

“It’s going to be incredibly interesting for everyone involved to see how the new spec Gen3 Supercar rolls out at The Bend.”

Kingswood guitarist Alex Lask admits he and his bandmates are gearheads in their own right, and are looking forward to heading out to The Bend after the conclusion of their “Hometowns” tour across Australia.

“We are really excited to be a part of the OTR SuperSprint given we are all massive motorsport fans and everyone in the band is in possession of something that goes fast,” said Laska.

“After our 120 date Hometown tour around Australia, we are very much looking forward to putting on a show for all the fans at The Bend.”

Tickets for the OTR SuperSprint start at just $35 and can be purchased here.

The event will be the ninth on the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship tour, and will host Races 21, 22, and 23 on the current campaign.
