British naturalist and television presenter Steve Backshall is set to return to Australia in January 2025 with his acclaimed live show, OCEAN. Following the success of three sold-out tours in the UK, Backshall will be touring across Australia and New Zealand, bringing his unique blend of adventure and education to fans down under.
The tour will kick off in Perth on January 9th, followed by his Adelaide show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on January 11th. Backshall will then continue on to Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne.
OCEAN is a celebration of the marine world, showcasing the wonders of the ocean through stunning visuals and science. Backshall uses a giant screen to display incredible footage from his extensive career, alongside live experiments, stunts, and life-size models of ocean giants. The show aims to inspire audiences of all ages to appreciate and protect our seas.
Backshall, best known for his TV series Deadly 60, expresses his excitement about returning to Australia: “It’s been a few years since I last took my wildlife show on tour in Australia, and I’m thrilled to explore the ocean’s marvels with such an enthusiastic audience.”
Steve Backshall is a prominent figure in wildlife television, primarily working with the BBC’s Natural History Unit.
